We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience when using our mobile application and related services (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Our core philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you. The vast majority of our security features, including deep device scans, metadata stripping, and photo privacy checks, are performed entirely locally on your device. We do not transmit your personal files or photos to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

A. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as your mobile device type, unique device ID, IP address, mobile operating system, and diagnostic data regarding app usage and crashes. This helps us ensure the app functions correctly and improves future updates.

B. Information Processed Locally

Features like the Photo Privacy Check and Metadata Stripper access your device's photo library solely to parse exchangeable image file format (EXIF) data and safely remove it. This analysis happens entirely on your local hardware. None of your photos, videos, or files are ever uploaded, stored, or viewed by us.

C. Third-Party Integrations

The App integrates with certain third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display personalized or non-personalized native advertisements (if you are on the free tier). Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Annual, Lifetime). RevenueCat processes purchase events and receipt data anonymously to unlock your premium features. No payment credentials (like credit card numbers) are visible to us or RevenueCat; they are processed securely by Apple.
  • Breach Monitoring APIs: If you utilize our Breach Monitoring feature, the email addresses or credentials you check are securely hashed and queried against public breach databases (such as Have I Been Pwned). We do not store these search queries.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Deliver fundamentally secure local features (like malware and phishing scans).
  • Process transactions and manage your Premium subscription status.
  • Serve relevant advertisements (free users only) via Google AdMob.
  • Analyze app performance, fix bugs, and improve user experience.
  • Respond to customer support inquiries.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information with our business partners. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
